Honda Pilot Hauler - chuzie - 03-24-2008

Ok, so I am not looking to tow the Bronco with my '04 Honda Pilot just yet however, I am looking to tow my Honda Civic behind the Pilot on my way home to SC in May. Since the wife is about to pop (7 months pregnant), I want to keep the stress off of her on the way home so we actually make it to Charleston without having to stop on the way to have a baby.

To tow anything with the Pilot I have to install a Power Steering Cooler and a Heavy Duty Transmission Cooler along with the hitch and applicable wiring. They are hard to come by outside of the retail/OEM setting.

If anyone comes across any of the parts please let me know. I am certainly not about to drop $600 to setup my Pilot for towing. I would just soon pay a hauling company to transport the Civic for that price.

Thanks in advance.

Mike I had a 99 Passport that I hauled my rig and trailer ( almost 5500 lbs) with from Shreeveport to Chucktown with and I had no problems, with out that stuff. Just my 2 pennies.

you guys and these honda haulers...:toothy12:

speed should be keep down below 70! The trailer should be as lite as possible, get trailer brakes and controller....even with a civic...you will be happy incase someone cuts you off on the hwy.

With my luck I would blow the tranny and honda would give me the finger when I go to claim warranty service.

I requested quotes from a couple of auto transport websites the other day, 5 to be exact, and ended up getting smothered wtih about 50 emails and 20+ calls from all
kinds of companies wanting to quote me.

As nice as it is to have a few quotes...what a nightmare.

I am looking at low end of 350 to high of 780.

69Bronco's suggestion is looking mighty good right now.
