Anybody got a good double flare brake line tool that they recommend? I'm not looking for cheap, but not the best either - something that is reasonably priced and does a good job easily.

I hate doing those...now I try to borrow my buds hydraulic kit(hands down the best way). But, now-he doesn't work there, and I cant borrow it anymore...sucks. I heard the only way to pull the double flares is with a little heat-never tried it though.

I bought a cheapy from Autozone a while back. And yes it is cheap. It will do a single flare easy, but the die doesn't hold the tube well when you try to make a double flare. I ended up borrowing a friends Snap-On. Hands down worth the money. If we ever get another Snap-On dealer local I plan on investing in one.

This is the set I borrowed. Online it is $125. But I believe it is work the money. I take my tools serious. I have cheap disposable or tools that I can sacrifice if needed. But I have a set of quality tools that I rely on.

ebay, find a nice imperial and one from the tool trucks. they are mostly made by imperial or parker.

Cheap tools get the job done in three times the time each and every time you have to redo it.
In other words, pay the cash and reap the benefits of a timely job that only need to be accomplished once. I learned that lesson long ago the hard way.
