2009 MEB Bronco Shootout
#1
Just getting this out there as early as possible. We are going to hold the Bronco Shootout April 24-25, 2009. It will again be at Uwharrie. I may try to get one of the group camps this time so that we can all be in the same area for more socializing than when we are all spread out at the Arrowhead camp.

Always a good idea to plan ahead! Hopefully I will have my junk back together so I don't have to ride shotgun:rubeyes:

If we're lucky there will be some good rains next spring, just like the last. Uwharrie's always way more interesting when it's greased up.

Yep ask Chuck and Matt:hysterical: We had a heck of a time on Daniel a couple years back in the middle of a rain storm. But funny we were there at the same time as the Zuwharrie group and didn't see not one Zuki on that trailConfusedmokin:

Rain certainly makes the trails quite a bit more challenging, but also make it very hard to clean the rig. I've gotten real lazy about keeping it clean, I don't even try to get axles and underneath clean anymore. If I feel the need to make it look pretty, I just spray bomb everything dirt and all gloss black so it looks good.

I didn't get the Group Camp area. There are quite a few people that want to have electrical hookups and the facilities at Arrowhead are quite a bit better than at the Group camp. I added some info at http://www.earlybroncos.com. I just reserved Site #15.

If you are thinking about coming, I would try to double up and share the sites to save a bit of cash. They say they have limits on number number of vehicles and people in each site, but Janet (campground host) never seems to hassle us when we have more, just as long as we are not being too loud or causing problems for other campers.
