I need to start getting some input about the next bash here in Raleigh. Mainly a good date and some ideas about some activities. I want it to be bigger and better.

Carl, last year's was great!! I'm not sure what to do to make it bigger or better, but April seemed to be perfect. How about 4.18.09 (to give you a weekend between the mud race and the bash to get your stuff cleaned up?)
Keeping it at 4WP? If so, maybe we can setup a course on the rocks and time everyone. Best time get's a prize. Best RTI score gets a prize too. Add RC Crawling and or race for prizes. If not, I'm not sure where to have it or what we can do... Want to team up with any other local clubs? (NC4x4 or NC4x4)? I'd like to help more this year too... Let me know what I can do. JayT

JayT,
all good ideas. I think 4 Wheel Parts is a must. I will get up with Greg to set the date. I wonder if we can get more stuff from the Bronco suppliers? Since it was our first local event we did not get much bronco swag. Maybe if we contact them earlier they will commit more. I like the RC idea---should we invite the local RC club to come out or just stick with the bronco folks with RC trucks? What about the food? Should we do a pig picking and charge for plates? I think we need a PA system or megaphone. I like the charity theme as well, but would like a better way to collect for a charity. Maybe a bronco poker run, tshirts, or some other brilliant idea. I know it is not a good time to be collecting for a charity but any little bit helps. Please chime in! Anyone! carl w

Cool. 4WP it is! I think it'd be cool to have the local R/C Club join us... especially since some of us are in the R/C club too... I like the Pig Pickin idea. Got any contacts for that? I think if we donate $1 per plate to the charity, that'll help too. I think I've got the PA handled. Poker Run - NICE!

It was in April this year... and we had a great turnout. Although, I'm looking forwarding to hitting the crowded trails at URE's opening in April too... hmmm... March Carl?

I think it's a great idea, but to get vendors active in both they're going to have to be spread out some.

We need to do one in the spring and one in the summer to space them out. Chuck is right, vendors aren't going to donate stuff to two events that close together for the same club. What about doing Charlotte in March and Raleigh in June?
