What's a '79 D44 with 4.56 & L/S worth?
#1
I'm thinking of re-gearing my bronco back to stock. I'm going to do the front by swapping my current D44 for a 2nd housing I have that has factory 3.50 gears.

What would be a realistic asking price for a 1979 D44 housing (no knuckles) with 4.56 gears and a TrueTrac?

Gears/LS probably have 10,000 miles in the truck and maybe 100 miles in 4wd. They were installed at Powertrain, Inc (Dana-Spicer Dealer) in Savannah, Georgia.

you would do better selling it complete hub to hub..maybe 400 to 500 my guess without the knuckles 200 to 250..would be my guess...you would be better to tear it apart & sell it ...

I don't know yet, Mike. Detowman PM'd me about them earlier and I told him that I felt bad trying to sell something until I can get off my lazy butt and uninstall it from the truck.

When i get them pulled, I'll let y'all know
