Parking lights
#1
They're called Parking Lights for a reason folks... not "Dusk" or "Not quite dark enough for headlights yet" lights. :banghead: Anyone else annoyed by other vehicles in motion while they're only burning their Parking lights? Confusedcratchhe: I was driving around the greater Raleigh area yesterday and there were so many ignorant boobs driving around with just their parking lights on, it just really got to me more than usual.

Maybe it's just me getting cranky in my old age or maybe I'm just jealous that I can't afford those rigs with automatic headlights *yet*... I thought "what the hell, let's see if it bothers anyone else in Bronco land". (and yes, admittedly, this is only one of my many driving pet-peeves - Just ask Jill).

There was a recent thread on NC4x4 about a fella traveling south from VA down 77 with only his park lamps on. He got pulled and smarted off to the officer. So the officer searched him, the vehicle, and really messed up his day. He wants vengeance on the "aggressive" officer. Though it could have all been avoided if he had been following the law. :banghead:

It is a safety issue vs. a looking cool issue. Just turn on your friggin headlights.

um, I'm guilty...like today riding to get my girl...3-4pm I had just the running lights on...then by the time I made it back to Johns Is close to 5pm it was starting to get dark enough under all the live oak trees near the road to turn the headlights on. I just like looking as cool as someone can while drive a dumb dually...hehehe

I guess it's not as common as a pet-peeve as I thought... I'm a boob. Dang, even our fearless leader does it! Chuck, you need to change you displayname to "GanstaChuck" now, if it were up to me... :hysterical:

As for the boob on NC4x4... he gets what he deserved, in my book. just burn your lights - fool.

And yes, this is coming from the boob who insists on burning his lights while running the trails too... I have no defense for that except that I've been on "trail #1" (the trailhead, if you ask me) at Tellico far too many times when all you see is dust and burning the lights is the only thing keeping me from running you butt over.

That is all...
