You know newspapers have been falling apart across the country and the way your nuts have constantly been used as a punching bag by your employer I would be extra prepared for the worst case scenario. You never know what is next. Get that resume together and feel out some options just in case. Don't get caught with your pants down. Sure, it sounds negative but that is the reality of this economic situation right now.

I have your back bro so let me know if you need anything.

Chuck,
It is a pisser indeed. Remember how freaked out I got this summer. Wanted to sell everything, lost 15 pounds, had chest pains daily due to anxiety. It is tough for everyone and we all feel your pain. I got proactive and got control of where I wanted to go. I am much happier now even though I am not making 1/2 what I use to make.
Whatever you need for use to do just call and we can work it out. If you need to talk about things lets talk. It is better than keeping it bottled up.

blazinchuck Wrote:i swear, with times like this...i have to start thinking about the times i convinced folks to stay with it(four wheeling), that things will get better. Yet, i dont see a freaking glimer of light at the end of this tunnel. I now have a bronco completely torn down...not worth damn $500 , with a ton more to put in it. Maybe i need to rethink things myself! the stupid soft drinks, stupid freakin smokes, and this expensive freakin games-wheeling included.

It's easy to say "screw it" especially when it seems to happen to you all at once. We all probably have too much invested in our Broncos and this sport, but one way I look at it is that it's money already spent, I know I probably won't get my full investment back out of it, so I am better off keeping it. I figure worse case, if I absolutely had to, I would just park it, remove the tags and insurance so it at least doesn't cost me anything to keep it, that way I wouldn't have to start from scratch when times get better.

AND IT WILL GET BETTER DAMN IT!!

I know it sucks having a bunch of pieces and list of more stuff to buy just to get it back on the trail, been there-done that, at times it just doesn't seem possible or even worth the effort. But sometimes you just have to let it go and take care of the important things now, and just wait until you are back on track and can get back to enjoying the fun things again.

Now quitting the smokes and cutting back on the soft drinks and other "extra crap" is a good place to start. I've been brown bagging lunch to work and don't go out to eat for dinner and it has really helped the wallet.

Who knows Chuck, you might be able to get that lower insurance rate as a non-smoker

Hang in there guys - - and gals

Damn, Eeyore, get a grip. There are probably 7,000,000,000 people that have lost their jobs since the election that would glady trade places with you. No raise, what did you do with the last one? Your lifestyle adjusted to your income. Now you're one step ahead because you're already adjusted. Bright side. No Christmas bonus? Its just that, a bonus. A gift not a requirement. Be thankful and not demanding. I've been promoted 3 times in the last 4 years and lost money every time. You adjust. Now have a beer, stop crying and go finish your truck. Wrenching is good therapy. Thats why I have a La-z-boy in front of mine. Gives me time to think of whats next.
