ECORS race 1- March 17 2012
#1
We are going to try and make it with the Bronco. Even if we don't race, I'll be there. It is the first race of the 2012 series and is at the Flats, near Morganton, NC.

Event info is here:

Guess I should add-

IF the weather is going to be lousy, I won't be going.

Right now the Bronco is sitting with the engine back in, but nothing hooked up yet. Got a lot to do. I think I can get it done in time. Will keep you guys posted.

Sounds good Clay! I (think) the oil pan was leaking. The original oil pan has little 'ridges' in it around the sealing surface areas. I think the one piece gasket didn't seal those areas properly. I put a new dual sump Mustang style pan on it and bolted it back together, along with a new pickup and all that good stuff. Hope it works!

were there any ridges on one piece gasket that would match the ridges on the pan?

kinda, but the ridges in the gasket weren't near as big. the new oil pan is flat across the sealing surface. AND, it doesn't appear that it will contact the track bar- though it might contact the front diff.... Got to take the front springs out and set it to full bump to verify.

bumping this back up. I know a few are interested in watching. All are welcome to hang out in our pits if you want to. Our race is at 9am. We will be milling about for the later races, catching the action.

Final Bump for some racing action this weekend!!! We will be rolling out Friday. Hopefully about lunch time and do some pre-running. Looks like we will be the main event, with the A class scheduled for 1:30 pm Saturday afternoon. From the hype, it sounds like our class will more than double the others combined and we should have record attendance in A (ie- more than 20 rigs)!
