No wrench turning today, was looking for a spindle puller....after a couple of YOUTUBE/Google searches, I bought a rubber mallet tonight and tomorrow we'll see what happens.

VIN# makes it a 1985, the engine block# is an 1989, and the front end is from a 1987. I call it Broncenstein. [Image: bronco.gif]

Hey clay, with these new upgrades, I fully expect you to drop this ultra conservative / super careful wheeling mentality you have had for so long!

What are you trying to do? If it is the front axle spindles, a regular heavy hammer and a block of wood work great. You just need to alternate where you hit the spindle. It won't go if you keep hitting it in the same spot. Make sense?

Over the years I have run into several rusty spindles that would not come off. So much so I bought the snap on puller for axle bearings and spindles. It threads onto the spindle and pulls off with a slide hammer.
OTC also makes one for a slide hammer.
