'77 Bronco 4bt Conversion
#41
Started the fabrication process for the Art Carr shifter mount & covers. Plan to lower it about 3/4" when the bends are made near the floor. Keeping it narrow for the time will probably require side bracing. But don't want to do anything long term for the moment. Would really like to build a storage box off to the side.... but I'm sure that will be way into the future.

Removed the dash and rebuilt the heater box as many have done with a Cheby blower fan, new seal kit, new heater core and paint. Repaired the torn duct with GOOP adhesive.. will see how it works out.

Here's some photos of the dash that has been modified. Need to confirm all of the gauge & switch locations and recut the dash. Please let me know about your thoughts about the gauge locations I have mocked up. The tach is mounted to the column. Thanks

Here's a photo of the dash and the gauges. I had to move the gauges on the right to clear the defrost ducting. Still need to drill (3) holes for the turn signal indicators and high beam indicator lights.

Here's some photos of modifications to my Art Carr shifter to add a backup light switch. I purchased a 2nd switch (same as the safety start park switch) and modified the bracket by bending the switch location 90 degrees and modified the tab by bending a radius to work in that plane. In addition there are photos of the completed metal enclosure for the shifter and wiring harness with connector.
