I've got a love/not love relationship with the trailer right now. I love the size of it, how well my full sized rig fits on it with plenty of room to spare, how well it tows, etc. I hate the fact that the brakes are WAY shot. As in not even worth rebuilding. It's going to grow new axles just as soon as I can locate some 16" 8 lugs wheels and decent tires for it. There is a definite learning curve associated with a goose neck trailer when you've pulled bumper pulls all your life. So far all I've taken out is a parking lot stop sign. All in all still a good buy, but it would have been one heck of a lot better if the brakes had been working as represented.

Yeah, tell me about it. I can't complain though. The TTB has stood up to a pretty good thrashing for three years, and I have no doubt that if I went to the trouble to refurb it the thing would last a good while longer. Thing is, I practically stole a D60 off of eBay a couple months ago and I would feel pretty goofy putting funds into rebuilding the axle that's on the way out anyway. So barring catastrophic TTB failure the D60 is going to be getting my attention for the next few months. My goal is to have the SAS done by the time Uwharrie opens next season, which is very doable. Of course I said the same thing about my engine build this year...don't ask how that turned out.
