Time to bring this to the top...
We did some clearing today and started moving a little dirt to fill my washes in. We've got 3 washes that are all a result of the pond spillway over the years. The oldest one had trees in it 12" diameter - that shows how old these washes originated and have been getting worse ever since.
Our future house will be on top of the hill so I'm making it a more gradual slope to the pond so that we'll be able to see the water from the front porch. As it was, you could only see the far side the way the land was flat and then sloped down steep.
We should get all of the washes filled tomorrow and start placing the rocks. You can see I've got a heck of a burn pile started ... it's bigger since that picture mokin:
