It's been a while since I have updated everyone. After 16 intravenous chemo treatments all was reduced to two small places, one between my heart and lung and the other on my right adrenal gland. This treatment seemed to do all it could, so in Oct. the Dr. swapped me to an oral chemo taken daily. This was a specific treatment that targets the gene responsible for the mutation.
I took this at the max dose for 6 weeks, then was reduced to half the dose about 4 weeks ago. I went for my follow PET as usual. The Dr. was amazed that there was no sign of "uptake" or hyperactive cell growth anywhere! Christmas has come a little early for my family.
I'm continuing on my regimen till my next appointment. Hopefully he may reduce my meds further.
