In case someone has not figured it out by now, I am a C-17 Pilot for the Air Force.
My parallel life is that of an engineer for an aeronautics company in Florida for whom I assisted in the design, execution, and implementation of runway friction measuring devices.
I have been on a leave of absence from my civilian employer for the past 2 years, due to my Air Force duties, and now that I am permanently relocating to Charleston, I am unsure of my future with my previous employer as a "long distance" employee.
Additionally, I have a pretty extensive background in jet engines both in maintenance and management.
If we do not piss off Iran, N. Korea, or China by this time next year, I will be looking for a job since my active duty status will end at that time.
So, if anyone is looking for a runway friction engineer who knows how to fix jet engines, I am your man!
