I've been building C4's for about 15yrs. Put them behind everything from mild 289's to NOS fed 302's to high torque strokers. Like Matt said keep it cool and keep it shifting quick and firm, it will last with about anything you can put it through. A guy I work with is bring his full manual VB/transbrake tranny to me this weekend out of his supercharged 347 coupe. About 650hp on the chassis dyno. Just going to do a little freshening up, has started sliding into 2/3.

I'll keep my eye out. Sometimes they pop up on Craigslist. And sometimes its just as cheap to buy a whole parts rig.
