Leakage!
#1
So I changed the fluids in the F&R diff's a couple days ago. Everything went smooth sailin'. Then 2 days later I notice a good size puddle under my front diff. All of new gear oil. I go to look under it, and its coming from between the gasket and the diff cover on the bottom. I didn't take the diff cover off to change the fluid. I used the drain plug and syphoned it out. Replaced old fluid with new 140W.

Could the leak be from having such gunky oil in there, nothing leaked. And now with the new fluid, shows me where I need to fix?

I wanted to replace the gasket and diff cover anyways. I guess this is just a good excuse.

that sucks. at least it's a simple gasket and not the inner axle seals...

Simple gasket: expensive oil. Kind of similar to the reason some people are hesitant to change engine fluids ro use additives. I have had a similar issue in the back but that was related to the copper washers on the studs which is not a player in the front.
