a guy i work with did that in his brand new z71 at 70mph on the highway. it was replaced under warranty. he thought you could put it in 4wd while moving. i told him you probably can in 4hi at 20mph or less but not 4low at 70 mph. his response was >>>> well i read the ******* owners manual.
