Well, no sooner than I say I don't need anything and ole blue goes haywire. I pulled up at the local grocery store and it wouldn't start when I decided to leave. I checked everything, spark, fuel, timing, you name it,I checked it! My son and I loaded it on a dolly and took it to my mechanic. He worked on it for 2 days and then we just started replacing parts. I have an '87 in my back yard so that's where the parts came from. We first replaced the fuel pressure valve, next was the injectors(all 6) finally we switched the computers and she fired right up. This whole adventure cost me $70 because I had access to parts for free. I'm not saying everybody should do this but having a spare in the back yard is a great idea and a money saver, NOW my wife is convinced!!! LOL :xyxthumbs:

I had an '88 BII way back when and the computer shorted in it about once a year. It got to where I carried a spare with me, just like I do now with my PSD 7.3L cam shaft position sensor :banghead:

It turned out to be the EMC regulator. Must have burned it out trying to jump start it!! At least I had the parts on hand!! :xyxthumbs:
