outer banks

i went to the obx all last week. it was the best beach trip ever. also went to kitty hawk, kill devil hills, cape hatteras, okracoke. rode the ferry and toured the light house. did a lot of drinking,eating,swimming and bike riding. at one point i swam so far out i got tired . the under toe was so strong and the current was as strong and the waves were 10 times bigger than any ive ever seen at myrtle beach. i almost just gave up out there. i felt helpless and really thought i was gonna drown. i couldnt touch the bottom . i was nearly 5ft over my head. luckily one of my friends was near by and grabbed my arm and i leaned back so i could relax and float for a second and then i swam a wave in about 10-15ft and then i could stand up on my own. it was the scaredest ive ever been in my life. going out too far is very stupid. other than my stupid mistake i had a very good time.

I wouldn't have to go out very far to be over my head but I'll be careful! We're leaving for Myrtle Beach in about 2hours to stay for a week. Dean, I'll call you when we get down there! :xyxthumbs:

I was down in NC on the outer banks last weekend myself. The only bad thing that happend to me was on friday when we went to hit the beach after getting camp set up. I was in my 91 Nite (which is bone stock) and went to go up the ramp and well......i had no 4 wheel drive. i screwed one of the hubs. I ended up driving all the way back here to Va to get my 87 and headed back down the NC again. Other than all the bs driving and swapping trucks, I had a great time on the beach.
