The tenative date is Oct 17th at noon but that can still be adjusted.

I made the run last Sunday and it's a beautiful little drive.
I got on the parkway on the Asheville side.
Drove about 20 miles of the Parkway (10 tunnels the girls thought were fun).
Lots of view turnouts and huge views.
Then dropped down through Pisgah forest 18 miles into Brevard.
Stopped at cradle of forestry and looking glass falls.

I think this will be a great route for a fall run.

We just need to decide if we go Asheville to Brevard or the other way around.
Then where to meet and where to eat.

We could all pack some food and have a little pot luck picnic on the parkway
or in the forest. Lot's of picnic areas to stop at.

The Ashevill side side at Biltmore square has Papas and Beer (mexican)
Apollo Flame (greek) and possibly a few other options.

I'm not very familiar with Brevard so I would need some help here.
I could also do a recon run into Brevard to check it out.

It's great to hear the interest is back up!! Let's start in Brevard, eat there, and then do the cruise. How long (time wise) does it take to do the whole run? We need to start early so the guys from Charlotte area can get ,at least , close to home in the day light. Any good places to eat in the Brevard area that would suit our needs? (wings, pizza, buffet, just good food in general) Berg, 66stocker, MillKnob you guys check around and find us a restuarant, you know major highway, good parking, and good food. All we need now is the time to meet and the place to meet. Hot dang, I'm getting pumped!!! :xyxthumbs:

The date is not chiseled in stone but could be moved a week in either direction. I may have a conflict and the 10th would be better for me but if I can't make it you guys can still go. All I'm doing is to help planning!! Do you guys want to change the date to the 10th instead of the 17th? I do but it is for personal reasons, my wife can't go on the 17th. :xyxthumbs:
