The Ford Mod motors are prone to having thread problems with the sparkplugs. Most of the time the threads come out with the original plugs. If they don't then the they get screwed when the new plugs are cross threaded going back in. I've used a great spark plug repair kit to fix the threads, but cannot recall who made it. Let me do some searching...

gm v6 motors had the same problem had a cavalier with the 2.8 that blew out a plug my brother had a grand prix with the 3.1 and it happned to him also
