OK guys.. I've been busting butt past couple of weeks. I have numerous POR 15 battle scars and several busted knuckles. MY question is....I just put my dash back in and I have to bend this shifter to fit. Anybody got any pics? Np435 or whatever?? Can you heat and bend while it's still in the tranny or do I need to remove it? OH...I also have a twin stick..

I made sure my twin sticks were in place, i sat the 435 shifter in place and then decided how far up from the bottom- were i make my 1st bend(like bending it to point towards the tailgate). then run through the gears(ie 1st, reverse, etc) and make sure were the next (up bend) will go. dont not heat while its in the tranny. use a sharpie to mark all bends and directions or bends...then lock it down in a vice. your oxg/act or map gas...those work better to heat fast. cool under water, then test fit. Be sure to run though all the gears on the tranny, and t-case!!!!!. it the t18 is like the 435...dont remove the shifter without 1st placing the tranny in neutral...this make it easier to install the shifter again.
