ECORS Race 2- Auburn, AL. WE WON!!! - (sort of)
#11
What a great narrative of the weekend! I looked on the ecors website for results but couldn't find anything there or on nc4x4. Glad ya'll had a safe trip there and back. Sounds like the bronco did everything you asked of it. It's a 1st place on it's 1st race .. that's a hard record to maintain now. I'll look forward to seeing ya'll in Spartanburg. Let me know if there's anything I can do to help prep for that event. I'm only 20 min away from there (if it's where I'm thinking).

I think you are thinking correctly on the location. Thanks for the offer on that. I will pressure wash it all down tomorrow and look it over. So far, the only damage I noted was the one flat, the front bumper damage, and some damage to the sheetmetal on the quarter panel. Oh well, it is a race truck, right???

Ron and Rob will be investing in something to do for redundant scoring. Not sure what yet. I think we will be separated from the UTV's next time. They had about 30 vehicles to keep track of with us and them together. The winning UTV guy ran 17 laps instead of the 15 they were supposed to run...

This early in the game, race details will be pretty scarce. Over the next week, info will be pouring out on it. There are probably some people not even home yet!!! Thought I'd let you all hear it here first Big Grin

Great re-cap of the weekeng congrats on the win. Glad the Bronco ran well, it must be a great feeling after all the work that went into it.

Hopefully they can fix the lap count situation before the next race.

Sorry to take so long to get back on the site my internet has been down at the house, and with exams starting been busy as hell. But Im back.

Alabama was an awesome trip, can wait for the next on. Wanna thank broncosbybart for letting help design, work, and co-pilot a first place and first class race truck. Also wanna thank him from being a first class friend, can't thank you enough buddy for letting me work and keep my stuff at your place.

The bronco ran great through out the race, minus the trans temp but hey thats overrated. Got a few thing to improve as always but the future looks good. It was an awesome ride, minus a few bumps or TREEs to bounce off. Oh cant forget the in the race victory donuts even if it was on the first lap we were the real wins so who cares.

The great American park was a sweet place to wheel and ride, Really want to get back down there for some wheeling and some warm summer night with the wonderful ladies of auburn.

Want to give a big thanks to our awesome one arm crew chief Mr. blackley. And my other buddy for helping us out over the weekend.

Got a few pictures from the weekend, gonna try to get them up this week.

too funny. thanks again all. a lot of things went our way with the race, a few things didn't, but it was an awesome weekend! so far, i like racing a lot more than trail riding, except for the self-induced pressure to perform well.

Our next event will be down in Spartanburg on July 9. It is probably gonna be super hot down there. Anyone wanting to come out is welcome to hang out w/us in the pits!

Look forward to meeting up with ya in Spartanburg. Got my time off scheduled. If anyone needs to get parts from concord to atlanta or the other way around I can be the mule. I'll have room headed up and back.
