the Grand kids 78
#1
Since I bought this thing I've been bouncing around on what i want to do with it.Many years from now I plan on giving it to my Grandson, Brantley. Now since he is only 41/2 months old now, that means 'Ol Gand Dad has some time to get it right and enjoy for a while.
I am gonna build this thing streetable and for fun. Kinda restored but modified.
For now I want to warm up the 351m and get it dependable.
Tonight I picked up a 79 for parts. It has a new 6'' lift,4bbl and intake, all the a/c and heating components(the entire heating and cooling system, brackets and all are gone from mine),a nice set of 10'' black wheels, complete interior, and tons of spare parts.
I will run the 35s that were on the 78 when i got it(brand new) and want to keep the 435 trans.
I will get some pictures up this weekend and try to do a decent build thread.

Oh yeah, I hope to have it far enough along to drive it to the meet and greet.
Stupid hurts when it catches up, and it WILL catch up!

Ok guys, it's been a while since I've said much about this thing.........that's funny because it's been a while since I've done much with it as well.
I've gathered a lot of parts and recently started pulling the interior out to replace with the captain chairs set up out of a Nite Bronco. I hope to get the rust cut out and replaced during the next month or so and have it sealed up for winter. I may me doing an engine change to light her up a little but let's wait on that.
I will try to keep this thread up and post some pics.

Motor time. I picked up a 400 today that has had a good bit of machine work done. Heads have been cleaned up,3 angle valve job, springs,etc.etc. The block has been bored .030 and line bored. All the parts are boxed up new. I need to do some homework on the pistons and cam to see what they bought. Also got another bellhousing, new clutch and flywheel. The guy wanted out of the Ford truck business. Have reciepts for the machine work and most of the parts. I will keep y'all posted.
