Crappy thermostat luck!
#1
When I installed the 306 I put a lil warmer stat in(180°) thinking this would be best...using a "fail safe". Well as I learned...you can't tell its bad unless...you just never get to temp.

So fast forward some... just before last novrun... I replaced it with stock style 185°… since then, been fighting the same problem. Today I decided to replace it AGAIN! Welp...surprise it some how got cocked!! Causing it to not reach temps. Installed a new 190° and after 3 attempts...truck got to 185,187,183 after 30 min cool downs. Each time temp was around 150 or so.

Hey genius, the 4R trans filter does not bolt on like a C4; it is a push on fit. Whatcha got now?
