I don't know about that green one. Heard it's been cussed at an awful lot by the mechanic! But hey, it's more than what I've got!

They have both been problem children. Either way, they are headed out to pasture (scrap yard) if they aren't claimed by the weekend. What does scrap metal go for these days; $0.07/pound?

Yes. We pulled and tore down the pump for assessment. Found a small chip of metal stuck to the ID of the outer pump gear. This was enough to prevent the inner gear from rotating which caused the shaft to shear. We were unable to identify the source of the piece but it was too big to be picked up and passed through the strainer.
Runs great and all seems well. If the cam bearing were damaged, only time will tell.

....hmmm funny, I appear to have that exact location locked in on the GPS!! I could bring two tow bars and hook them up in tandem and make the east trek back up I95 no issues!!!

This is chuzie's attempt at humor. Me thinks he should just stick to flying.
So, in an attempt to get this back on a serious note, maybe the common theme going on is the mechanic?

Sadly, the 3 people this was aimed at likely have no clue.
