Arrowhead Campground Host Janet is leaving URE

Just read this on the NC4X4 forum.

"Some folks might have known for a while now, but Janet from over at Arrowhead Campground is leaving us after around 17 years of being here. She is going back home to Maine.

I just got an e mail from Debra with the USFS that she would like to have a party for her on the 25th of this month at Kings Mountain Point in Uwharrie at 1 pm. Everyone is invited to attend .

I know this is short notice but I just found out 5 minutes ago myself. Please try and stop by and attend and say goodbye to our longest serving campground host to date there."

Well that stinks for us, but good for Janet!! She had mentioned that in November...and last April. My kids will be disappointed to hear this. She was very much a sweetheart to them and always good for some conversation and a ride on the golf cart!!

Willow just reminded me that 1 time she put her to work riding around updating reservations on the campsite markers.

I am somewhat concerned about who may be replacing her. Do we have any info?

I don't think many of us will be able to attend the party; perhaps we can get her a small token of appreciation in the form of a thank you card and a memento related to CB4x4.

Does anyone have her personal contact info so we can get in touch after she leaves in order to obtain a mailing address?
