Police
#1
So I got stopped by the police for the first time in my bronco today. He said he stopped me because it seemed like my exhaust was too loud. My response (not trying to be cute) was that it was probably because my exhaust comes out at the same level of his ears. He actually laughed and said as long as it is legal he doesnt care. He also mentioned that I do not have a drivers side mirror and that it is state law to have one. I am running inserts and waiting on my soft doors to be delivered. Wondering what others did in order to have side mirrors with no doors?

at least you didnt get a ticket. i know duffs sells a clamp on mirror that attaches to the roll cage.
If you can't fix it with a hammer and a welder then your gonna need a new one!

As long as it was not on the bronco when new from the factory they cannot charge you for not having added it since then. I assume mirrors did come on all broncos, but that is an excuse to try to use if need be. It has worked for me at least!

The roadsters had the option for mirrors that were mounted on the fender. I don't think they came standard. Something mounted to the windshield frame would work. I took the door mirrors off mine and now just use a suction cup to attach to the door glass using a GPS mount. If you found one with a long enough arm, you could stick it to the windshield and not have to drill holes in the sheet metal.

I've also seen people take a $2.00 stick-on mirror and stick it to the door jamb before.

Here's a couple of options for you: I used the self adhesive convex mirrors on both side of the winshield frame. They work really good. I was going to put them on the inserts, but they work good here and you don't have to wory about knocking them off! I've seen the "peep" mirrors like I have on my
'32 clamped onto Bronco windshiled frame. They are offered by some hotrod parts vendors. I think mine came from Julianos.
