Harmonic balancer
#1
So I was working on the engine this weekend and discovered my harmonic balancer is destroyed. [Image: 5234172f8a4e81f3634e08681794e333.jpg][Image: 06568f3fdca2eec3b2ba41b857ea55d3.jpg]

So I know I need a 28oz external 3 bolt to work with my 351 and the pulleys I currently have. But if I get a balancer that has both 3 and the 4 bolt pattern will that work with the explore serpentine setup?

Send Chuzie a pm. Not sure if he used a rebalanced explorer unit or what. I think Driven or Bronco Hut sells a conversion pulley.

After talking to Chuzie and some more research the stock damper will work the adaptor pulley from drive 4x4

i would get the 50oz rebalanced to 28, chuzie bought that special serp pulley and it was cutting the belt and squealing or chirping if i remember.

People still come to this site? Interesting...

The aluminum pulley from driven auto parts was causing a horrible squeal that took hours to isolate. As far as I know, I am one of 2 people that have experienced this issue so it is safe to say it is isolated.

The pulley is a great cost effective route though and I wouldn't discount it.

If you see a future in explorer front dress or explorer efi, I would have damper dudes rebalance the explorer balancer for you and be done with it.
