Looking for commute info for my house hunt.
#11
Chuzie, my buddy Eric lives on the far end of Dorchester Rd. he says it takes him about 45 minutes ( @ 0600 ) from the far end of Summerville to Rivers Ave. about two miles from Ashley Phosphate. If you want we or you could call him and get more info. I grew up there and the difference from 20 years ago and now is WOW unreal.
Waiting to build or BUY another legend! :thefinger:

Wow! That sucks. When I was there 2 years ago it was a freaking nightmare for both the morning and afternoon commute on Dorchester. I really just need to get down to Ashley Phosphate and I can cut across to base from there.

I used to live off Miles-Jamison in Ladson so I just jumped on Lasdon Rd and caught I-26. Used to take me about 20 minutes to and from.

That is the biggest thing that will determine if I buy the house because I don't do traffic...PERIOD.

I bought a house outside Tampa once and the commute was 1:10 each way! Needless to say it was just under three months before I sold it and moved back to the city. Nightmare what???

I wouldn't mind chatting with him for a few or he can email me chuzie@gmail.com

Thx.

So I put a contract on a house today up in Summerville. Did I mention my dumb as* did this sight unseen. Well, the realtor did send us pictures but what can I do from 1300 miles away? I don’t normally do stupid things like this so I hope it does not become a trend. I thoroughly scrutinized all the other houses I purchased in the past but the baby situation has made this a necessary evil. We are looking to close May 15th so I hope my wife can keep the baby in the oven long enough to move into the house!
