Networking
#1
I had an idea!!!Confusedcratchhe:
Would this site be a good place for us to network our jobs and careers? I think it would be cool to find out what everyone does for a living and see if we can help one another advance their business. I design houses and have had my own business for the last 19 years. I design all sizes from 800 sq.ft. to 10,000 sq.ft. I sell plans all over the country and would love to give my bronco brethern an awesome discount. Let me know if there is any interest.:popc1:

In case someone has not figured it out by now, I am a C-17 Pilot for the Air Force.
My parallel life is that of an engineer for an aeronautics company in Florida for whom I assisted in the design, execution, and implementation of runway friction measuring devices.

I have been on a leave of absence from my civilian employer for the past 2 years, due to my Air Force duties, and now that I am permanently relocating to Charleston, I am unsure of my future with my previous employer as a "long distance" employee.

Additionally, I have a pretty extensive background in jet engines both in maintenance and management.
If we do not piss off Iran, N. Korea, or China by this time next year, I will be looking for a job since my active duty status will end at that time.

So, if anyone is looking for a runway friction engineer who knows how to fix jet engines, I am your man!

Well, I started out as front end mechanic @ local Ford store, 10 years.
Went to printing for 10 years.
Retired from Freightliner after 17 years. I'm not into much too heavy right now but I do make knives on the side, no folders. Nothing like chuzie but it has been a fantastic ride!! And sorry JP, I don't like golf.Confusedmokin:

I moved the other posts and comments not directly contributing to the purpose of this thread so we can keep it un-hijacked. You all can continue those conversations and tell me what a dork I am in the new thread located here...

I almost went in to do the same thing but ended up going into IT instead. I have been a pilot since I was 16 and love and miss being able to fly. It's to freaking expensive. Smile Now to the point of this thread.....

I am currently the IT Manager for the Richard Petty Driving Experience based out of Concord, NC. I have been in the IT industry for 13+ years. I love working at RPDE I have been there for almost 7 years now. It's a great company. I really enjoy the IT industry, however what I really want to do is become a luthier. I want to build guitars/Ukuleles. I am going to start learning in the next year or so. That way by the time I am ready to retire I am really good. Smile

You don't ever want to have to come see me while I'm at work.

I have a BS in chemistry and biology from USC and work in cancer research at the VA Hospital and USC medical school in Columbia, SC. I manage the cancer clinical trials program at the VA hospital and basically we perform research studies on new chemotherapy drugs and regimens that can help patients with different types of advanced cancers.

I'm currently a college student studying mechanical engineering with a concentration in motorsports. And formally in the sheet metal fabrication business, I ran cnc punches and other various tasks. We mainly were in to high tech computer cases for government agencies but also made some Ac cobra parts like firewall and foot boards.
