Let's Rename NASCAR to SMI Racing
#1
For the love of pete, is anyone else tired of Bruton Smith buying every damn track in the circuit?! Now Dover, the Monster Mile, is in his sights?! Let's just rename NASCAR, Bruton's racing circuit. :thefinger: :banghead:

Time to start supporting our local tracks again (not that we didn't)...

It has been a while since I have been in the "loop"

What is he doing to the tracks when he buys them?

So far, just adding to his empire... But he's trying to court nascar into giving him more races (moving from other ones he owns to new purchases)... I think the latest was him trying to take a race from NH to give Vegas 2. Not sure what he wants to do with Dover...

Agreed... I used to love the Sept. race in NH, when I lived 30 mins from there... It was always my bday weekend - what a party!

I still go to Bristol, got 8 perm. seats, when I can. You should see what Bruton has done there. He moved a mountain from the front of the speedway so you could see it from the highway! It used to hold 40,000 now it's up around 150,000!! Tickets used to be $25 now they are $108 each, the racing isn't as good, the cars are all the same and there's no "framming and bamming" any more. It ain't worth it.
