rearend whiiiiiine

i have a 96E.B. 133000 miles.need help with a whiny rearend. just bought this from dealership in jan. as is. stated to whine in april.:crying: had cover removed and found "milk". had it cleaned up and new oil put in. now whines when push gas and let off. have been told need to find junked. 'couse parts will be to costly. any advise is much needed.

Sounds like it had water in the oil. A good ring and pinion will cost around $200 and a bearing set around $125-150. I would check the front diff also and check to see that the vent has a good hose running up to the frame.
