C4 question - cuz1 - 06-01-2008 I won a C4 on ebay out of an early bronco. It comes with the dana 20 as well. I called the guy and told him to send the tranny but he could keep the dana 20. It will save over $100.00 not to get the dana 20. The question is Is there anything off the dana 20 that I need for it to be complete? carl C4 question - bucketobolts - 06-01-2008 It would be wise to get the transfer case also. You will need the input spud shaft and the seal adapter. C4 question - johnpaulgolf - 06-02-2008 Carl where is the tranny? I would think even if you don't use the D20 it would be worth getting all of it. Then you could sell or keep it for a spare ect. just my .02 C4 question - broncomania - 06-02-2008 get em both. is it a t or j shift ? i here t shift is geared lower. i would like to have the case to rebuild for my bronco. before i say that i should askj if the t is stronger than the j or = in strength ? call me carl 336-669-6956 i might give you the $100.00 for it. C4 question - johnpaulgolf - 06-02-2008 t-shift=2.46 j-shift=2.34 not alot of difference but enough. as far as strength...hmmm I don't know C4 question - broncomania - 06-02-2008 johnpaulgolf Wrote:t-shift=2.46  i cant afford a stak right now so i thought i would help carl and buy that one and build it up a little. someone that knows a lot about these should post up the differences and upgrades you can buy for them up in the tech or how to articles section. C4 question - johnpaulgolf - 06-02-2008 this will help your D20 http://www.wildhorses4x4.com/product/dana20_Crawler_Transfer_Case_Gears_Kit/Dana20_T-Case http://www.wildhorses4x4.com/product/Extreme_dana20_Output_System/Dana20_T-Case C4 question - broncomania - 06-03-2008 johnpaulgolf Wrote:this will help your D20 according to that i can just build my case and have the same thing. C4 question - SC74 - 06-03-2008 johnpaulgolf Wrote:this will help your D20 I've been debating whether or not to go that route or a Stak case. I'd hate to get $1,200 deep and regret not doing a Stak and having 3 speeds. It is nice to know that WH has a sale on the HD output shafts now though. C4 question - broncomatt - 06-03-2008 Get the case carl, you cant have too many spares. Plus, yours has that funky front output yoke(and needs overhaul). A spare rear out put is worth its weight in gold as it is the weak link of that case. To save the coin of going atlas I would get the lower gear set. I'm not a fan of doubling, the eb has too short a wheel base for it to work well. Broncomatt |
