Not really - Keith has been thinking about it more than I have and has some good ideas, but I think it's going to be one of those start cutting and see where it goes deals. Instead of stretching the front fenders aprox. 1", we're also going to take 1" out of the length of the hood - in the very front so that it does not effect the body line in the hood.

The plan for the hood is to use a old rusty mockup hood I have and cut both sides off it about 1/4 in in in a straight line and remove the skin and weld the structure back together then lay the skin back on it and make it match. Then duplicate this on the good hood using all our measurements. We have 4 hoods so I will make it work and look good one way or another. He He

Got another good day of work on the Bronco today. George (Mill Knob) also came down to check things out and pick up a core support for his project - thanks again George

We got the front tubed support 90% done. All we lack is welding on the front two body mounts, but can't do that since our mock-up rig is stock body height and mine is 2" BL. We do have the pieces cut and ready to weld on once we get the front-end back to my house. The tube connects to the firewall with 4 bolts on each side - this way the entire front clip will come off for access to work on the motor if need be. We welded 3/16" tabs and tapped them 5/16 so that the stock fender bolts will hold the fenders to the tube.

Got a little bondo work done on the front fender / grill line that we are "shaving". Still lacks sanding and I'm sure another finish coat, but I like the shaved look.

Here are some pictures :xyxthumbs:

I dropped off the hood at Keith's house and he got started on it. The skin is 90% off of the hood frame now Confusedupergrin:

This is a rusted out hood that we are using as practice on the cuts and to make sure that we do it the best way on my good hood.

Finally bit the bullet and ordered some Mastercraft seats :bdent:

I debated between Mastercraft, Beard, and Corbeau but went with my first choice. Jessica has sat in the Mastercraft before and commented on she liked them so figure I better go the route I know we'll both like.

Now off to go cut spot-welds in the hood Confusedcratchhe:
