Ms Piggy. Black and Blue! - broncosbybart - 01-28-2015 Yeah, round numbers are 6:1 for the trans, 10:1 transfer case, 4:1 rear axle- comes out to 240:1. I'm sure it is even lower than that in real life. Never even bothered to calculate it as I'll never use that gear unless there is a crawl-off competition at some point. Been busy in the garage in the evenings. Felt like I haven't been getting much done. I did get the body set back down and filled the aux tank hole and a few other holes in the body. I also got the cut off rocker panels fitted with 3/4" .120 square tube to stiffen them back up. 2x4 rock sliders will be going below the rockers but that is down the road a good ways still. Ms Piggy. Black and Blue! - snipes243 - 01-29-2015 And I thought mine was low at 125 Ms Piggy. Black and Blue! - chuzie - 01-30-2015 25.9.....I lose Sent from my GS3 on Cyanogenmod with the older / better version of Tapatalk! Ms Piggy. Black and Blue! - broncosbybart - 01-31-2015 Got the removable inner fender idea pretty well wrapped up. I cut out what metal was rusty around the corners of the cowl where they always rust and replaced it with new. Then I made some plates to strengthen the spliced areas and bolted and screwed it all together. Ms Piggy. Just seems smarter that way especially if your me and may encounter alignment issues. Ms Piggy. Black and Blue! - broncosbybart - 02-15-2015 Got a little work done on the front end. I bought an intercooler for the turbo from CX racing off of Ebay. It isn't mocked in place but I got the core support all butchered up to make it almost fit. Got some more to do, but you get the idea. Ms Piggy. Black and Blue! - Bronco Biff - 02-15-2015 Nice work, as usual!! Ms Piggy. Black and Blue! - broncomatt - 02-15-2015 Looking good, will you need to ad some bracing to the radiator support to stiffen it? Ms Piggy. Black and Blue! - broncosbybart - 02-17-2015 Thanks again fellas. I will probably add some 1" square tube to it as it progresses further. Took a few pics of the inner fenders all bolted up. Then it was on to a whole different direction. Back off with the body. Clay came by and we got the string, tape measures, and levels out and got the axles squared up and all that good stuff. Thanks Clay! Then I got started with the rear traction bar. After looking at both sides I decided to put it on the driver side to keep enough room on the other side for a muffler and exhaust. The center section on the 14 bolt is right in the way of the one axle mount for the traction bar. Got to get creative with it. Ms Piggy. Black and Blue! - ParadisePWoffrD - 02-18-2015 build a truss over the rear diff that ties into the pinion and top cover bolts, and weld the traction bar mount to that. You will want to weld up the tubes of the 14b anyway to keep them from spinning. Plus this way your already set when you want to link it in a few months. |
