WE HAVE A GUY AROUND HERE WITH AN HD THAT RUNS IN THE 7'S IN THE 1/8TH

fun at the track... - blazinchuck - 07-01-2009

we have two 4wd,lowered,twin turbos trucks here in town...1st is a duramax(looks like a stock 1500 slammed) pushing 1000hp/1400tq and the other is a common rail dodge pushing the same...i think they get into the 6's with those 2 trucks. they are sick!!!!

I'd like to see the NHDRA come to the ZMax dragway.

The quarter mile is a ling track:notworthy:

I hang my head in shame. I had a new Dodge Hemi 2wd crew cab jump on me at a stop light. Took off at a slow 10-15 mph roll and I held my own just till we let up and he pulled me by a cab length. Guess that ain't bad since I probably weigh almost 2.5K more than him. My grey Dodge tipped the scale at 5400 and the Ford weighed 7700+ with half a tank of fuel.

plus you could drag him anywhere

Jumping in here a little late, but yeah, a larger diameter tire is better than duallies.

You still have no weight to get the duals to grab, but a larger tire will lug you off the line and between shifts enough that they will stick.

Had put a allison in a F250 behind a 6.9 that was tweaked a little. It would chirp the tires every shift.
We turned it into a dually and it did not help it a bit.
So we ended up putting 22.5 lo pro semi tires on it. Keep in mind this was 1986 when 22's were just not done.

my dodge duellie weighs 6000. i took it sunday 7-19-09 also and this time did my best of 10.02...not bad, but i was hoping to see 10 flat. thats where the traction would help. I did get beat by a 5.2 dodge...i think he hit NOS...i was watching him all day and he was barely winning against 10.5-10.8's. we raced and he smoked me! go figure. I tried to post the vid, but youtube pulled it-so im working on a new one.

anyone ever run a turbo timer or boost controller on their desiel? Or how bout and intercooler sprayer (sprays the inetercooler to make the air cooler/denser? Ive seen some good hp gains just with a down pipe and wastegate upgrades

fun at the track... - broncomania - 07-21-2009

ive done the 4"down pipe, 6" stacks, chip. next is air intake and gauges. then deep trans pan.
