I'd also double check for a vacuum leak, especially under the upper manifold and around the EGR valve. Be sure the IAB and throttle plate are not coked up. The you may want to try to relearn the warm idle strategy. Target warm idle speed should be 650-700rpm with a stock engine.

1. Clear the EEC-IV’s idle memory by disconnecting the battery for 20+ minutes.
2. Disconnect the Idle air bypass solenoid
3. Reconnect battery
4. Start engine and set idle speed to desired RPM with stop screw on throttle body (900 rpm works great with E303 or larger cam)
5. Turn off engine and reconnect the air bypass solenoid*Optional — set TPS to 0.90 - 0.95 volts (Do not exceed 1.0 volts MAKE SURE!) Use a digital volt meter!
6. Start engine and let it idle for 2 minutes with no accessories on.
7. Turn off engine for two minutes
8. Start engine again and run for 2 minutes with every accessory turned on.
9. Turn engine off again. Your computer should have now re-learned the new idle settings.

Also where is your ACT sensor mounted?

i had a similair prob and it was the fuel pressure reg. check for fouled plugs also

hey chuck. im back in town for a few days. u still having issues?

5.0 EFI idle issues? - blazinchuck - 01-28-2010

yeah, still got the problem. i borrowed a nice fuel inj. tester...however, the new AN fittings and fuel line required me to remove the factory schrader valve...so i cant hook it up. i called Jegs...i will have to send mine in so they can send me a new pump.

i kick myself in the butt for not putting an inline adapter in the fuel line to check fuel pressure. Just one more thing I can always upgrade down the road.

bet you could splice one inline on the pressure side pretty easily since you are running the flex line. heck, you could even run a line for a pressure gauge.

thought bout drill/tap the fuel block for the valve...just dont know the size or thread pitch yet.
