Myrtle Beach Conway, SC area - 66Roadster - 08-06-2014 I have an August 65 U13. The vin plate (sorry to say) IS at the kick panel beside the emergency brake. Marti might could produce one for you but, he couldn't give you a report because his info starts with year 67. (I believe fire destroyed the 66 records). To my knowledge, this is the only body vin location. Myrtle Beach Conway, SC area - wepuckett - 08-07-2014 Yeah I found the glove box door in one of the tubs and nothing there like the later years. I was trying to find the vin on the frame, but havn't had any luck with that, checked the normal 2 locations on the passanger side frame rail and nothing. Found some numbers at another spot but too much pitting or the idiot po using a chisel to find the vin to make out if it is a vin or something else. You can see it from the engine bay, but it can be hard. You'll probably need to wire brush off years of grime and/or rust to see it. Rubbing some chalk on the area helps too. Myrtle Beach Conway, SC area - wepuckett - 08-07-2014 Yep that is one of the places I looked there is no body on it atm so I put a wire cup brush on my grinder and let it flake the junk away but still nothing. |
