Bent leaf spring - bucketobolts - 07-23-2008 Do you run a lift block, JP? Bent leaf spring - johnpaulgolf - 07-23-2008 bucketobolts Wrote:Do you run a lift block, JP? No...why? Bent leaf spring - bucketobolts - 07-23-2008 They are very bad to bend springs. Maybe you need a traction bar like mine... Bent leaf spring - johnpaulgolf - 07-23-2008 This may help...probably not so much!!!:hysterical: cratchhe: :hysterical: Bent leaf spring - bucketobolts - 07-23-2008 AXLE WRAP!!!:banghead: Bent leaf spring - johnpaulgolf - 07-23-2008 bucketobolts Wrote:AXLE WRAP!!!:banghead: I have read some on that...cratchhe: causes? cheap solutions? :toothy12: Bent leaf spring - bucketobolts - 07-23-2008 You need some sort of traction device. From experience the Duff Classics don't work to well. But they have a new bar that looks really nice. The center mounted design keeps the bars out of the rocks for the most part and adds a little protection for the driveshaft. Another bad trait of the EB is collapsing of the spring perches. The perches will break loose and bend allowing the axle to rotate at will. This causes the drive shaft to do nasty things. Bent leaf spring - chuzie - 07-23-2008 I have a set of traction bars on my rig since I have block in the rear. Consider getting larger springs and chucking the blocks if articulation is going to be an issue. Someone correct me if I am wrong, but do traction bars not place a greater limit on potential articulation than without them? Bent leaf spring - bucketobolts - 07-23-2008 What bars do you have? Bent leaf spring - broncomania - 07-23-2008 you could run one stock fullsize radius arm backwards. weld on the c wedges and make you a mount . cheap and simple. check with hd78bronco. his works great. |
