been a busy week and weekend...

1st off a 1" body lift was installed. swapped the inner fender/rad core support/painted flat black, removed all gauges(stock instr, triple gauges, race tach...and installed the Dajota Digital! this thing is nice. i also cleaned up all the wiring under the dash...its not perfect yet, but its hidden a lot better now. the PO installed a late model plastic MC and since i installed the new non-modified fender power brake set up(bracket/booster)...the plastic MC would not work. it sat too high and hit the hood, so today i swapped it out for the original MC that came with the pw brake set up(came out of FBG) ill try to take some pics tomorrow. i was gonna drive it, but still have the inserts/soft doors, top all removed...and i wanna test this rad out some more.

how hard was that dakota digital setup to install? what tools are required for that? might have to bring some extra tools and a flashlight with me to the URE run Big Grin

not bad at all. i remove the stock oil/temp sender and replaced it with DD's senders, and replaced fords VSS with their vss. then added rt/lf turn, hi beams, power,gnd,tach...done. mounted controller up near clutch pedal on fire wall. then programming it was pretty simple. i measured a mile with lisa honda, then drove that mile and it auto calibrated itself. i also added another wire so when headlights are on, the unit auto dims. i may add a warning light and shift light later

Speedo is programmable, using a measured mile.

slapped the bikini top, wind breaker, and soft doors on last night...drove it to work today! felt good driving it again. still only got to 162*. i may pull tstat and trying the old boiling water trick to see if and when its opening...might just be opening too soon.

So let me get this straight...

First you whine that it is running too hot and want to have temps similar to mine.

Now you have somehow managed to not only meet that goal but exceed it and you are crying because it is too cold.

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa :crying:

If your stat was locked closed and the engine was actually getting hot you would know it bro. It is going to run like crap because the EEC thinks it is at 160 and it is performing at 200+.

Go back to the house tonight and drive my rig around for a bit and see what temp it gets to. We are essentially running the same setup now. If I hit 180 and you don't, I will publicly and profusely apologize for being the a** that everyone already knows I am! Confusedupergrin:
