NEED SOME ADVICE PLEASE - 66gasgrill - 06-17-2008 I'll give ya another vote for the C4- STAK B Box 3 speed. the B box is designed to fit in an early Bronco and you can get it in 5.44:1, 3.05:1, 1:1 4.33:1, 2.43:1, 1:1 3.75:1, 2.05:1, 1:1 0.79:1, 4.33:1, 1:1 It's clockable in 4* increments and requires no adapter to mate it to a C4. I've been thinking about putting a doubler between my Np435 and D20 but this might be a more viable option. It's alittle pricey but when you compare to an atlas a doubler and built D20 it's really pretty compareable. NEED SOME ADVICE PLEASE - DUCKWORTH71/76 - 06-17-2008 THANKS for the vote 66gasgrill.....Wow, a NP435/doubler/D20....now thats getting down and dirty low....nice......What do you think about the 4.33:1, 2.43:1, 1:1 combo for all around wheelin? Have you heard STAK is coming out with a new three speed designed for the EB!!!!!? It's in testing as we speak and should be available for order in 2 - 4 months....Supposed to be smaller/lighter......Feel free to call Mike Pope with Pope Automotive (904) 724-9455 to ask any questions/order one....Mike is becoming an EB expert in NE Florida and is the new STAK distributor in our area. Hank NEED SOME ADVICE PLEASE - blazinchuck - 06-17-2008 I was told the doubler was around $1500 just for the adapter:rubeyes: Thats a lot of cake to still be rolling with a D20...which should be up graded to a 32spline output shaft also. NEED SOME ADVICE PLEASE - DUCKWORTH71/76 - 06-17-2008 I don't have much experience rock/mountain crawling......is there such thing as too low? At what ratio is the point of no positive return? NEED SOME ADVICE PLEASE - blazinchuck - 06-17-2008 the problem with the lower south east...is it will usually be wet somewhere around the obstacle or on the trail. Those are the times...wheel speed is a must. Being able to select 1 low or double low is awesome. Plus if your trail riding with a group...you may fall way behind. |
