ECORS Class A race rig build - broncosbybart - 11-04-2011 Ha ha. Thanks man! OX is buttoned up and works well so far. The new cable solved our issues. I can tell that the shocks are too soft. Still dunno about the engine. ECORS Class A race rig build - SC74 - 11-04-2011 Ya'll have a safe trip and good luck. Hopefully the motor issue is something minor that will hit you as soon as you open the hood (after thinking about it the whole way of course!). Look forward to hearing the updates. Go get that 1st place points prize!!! ECORS Class A race rig build - broncosbybart - 11-06-2011 Never had time to check out the engine issue. It never went away, but we were able to make it through the race. We broke a steering heim, broke a hood pin (minor) and re-arranged a lot of sheet metal... Some pics of the shock re-valving. Joel at Bilstein is a super helpful guy! Still have to do some more work on them though. Need to firm the fronts up for sure. It was a mad dash to make it to this race. Got it all done just in the nick of time. We did have to do some last minute grinding on the rear caliper brackets (the rubbed the wheels some). Had to fab up a mount and route the new OX cable/shifter. The OX locker worked awesome!! ECORS Class A race rig build - SC74 - 11-06-2011 Did you win the points for your class? ECORS Class A race rig build - fdezone - 11-06-2011 Well, I just spent a better part of my evening reading this entire build thread. Nicely done! Rig looks great! ECORS Class A race rig build - broncosbybart - 11-06-2011 Thanks for the props. It doesn't look so good at the moment! We played pinball between the trees on the way up and down the muddy hills. A few hills were really steep! We finished 2nd in points for the season. Really, the only way we could have stayed in first was if Brad would have not finished this race. They drop the lowest score from the 5 race series. Both Brad and I didn't finish the first race, but we scored a lot more points than he did because he broke early in that event. He did better than us in most of the remaining races. ECORS Class A race rig build - firefighter2134 - 11-07-2011 did you notice that ian johnson from extreme 4x4 and spike tv were filming there all weekend? ECORS Class A race rig build - blazinchuck - 11-07-2011 explain yourself Bart...lol i see our guys from GDI/Alabama came home with a win ECORS Class A race rig build - broncosbybart - 11-07-2011 I agreed with them to let them win it. They needed gas money to get to Cali for the KOH Roger isn't afraid to drive that thing! Godevil quoted him as saying "I don't worry about going downhill. I can't get stuck going downhill." This was before not slowing down going into a near vertical 30' drop. I was sure to about stop and line up perfectly each lap for that one. It was a roller coaster ride! |
