Project "Big Country" - Front Bumper Fab - 744x4 - 11-15-2009 Thats why I am doing it and not you.:thefinger:now leave my wires alone. I know where everyone goes.:hysterical: Project "Big Country" - Front Bumper Fab - SC74 - 11-15-2009 Here are a couple pics of the new ceramic coated WH shorties upergrin: Project "Big Country" - Front Bumper Fab - SC74 - 11-15-2009 Keith got a lot more wiring done today. Notice how I say "he" got it done - he won't let me touch the wiring. So I worked on other nic nacs like cutting and welding the steering column shaft and quick disconnect nut, painting, working on the fuel lines and fuel cell, etc. The wiring is ALMOST done - another day and it'll be 100%. The RJM harness leaves the relays and fuse box in the engine compartment but we have no room to mount them in a place that will stay clean with the open front clip and no inner fenders. We're going to have to unwrap some of Ryan's loom and re-route some wires so that we can drill another hole in the firewall and install the relays and fuse panel in the glove box. That will take longer than finishing the harness, but they will out of harms way. Project "Big Country" - Front Bumper Fab - SC74 - 11-15-2009 Here are a few shots of how we routed the wiring to the rear. It goes into the frame rail just past the middle body mount. We have a tee that comes out mid-way that crosses under the body to feed power to the fuel pumps and the fuel sending unit wiring. The rest of the rear harness stays in the frame rail and exits at the frame rail where the trailer light connector is. The balance of the harness will plug into that trailer connector when I install rear lights etc. Project "Big Country" - Front Bumper Fab - SC74 - 11-15-2009 Here are 2 pics that show the gauge light off and on. We also re-used the stock "brake" dash light as the engine trouble light. Project "Big Country" - Front Bumper Fab - 744x4 - 11-17-2009 This a E-bay Bronco specific Harness made by 4wheelinjunky on E-bay and is a good 3 piece harness for the money. It will take some extra work if you arent using all the stock ford pieces like a steering column but it even includes a new ignition switch but it will not fit in the stock hole without a little help. Project "Big Country" - Front Bumper Fab - broncomania - 11-22-2009 "big country" is "bad ass" Project "Big Country" - Front Bumper Fab - SC74 - 11-23-2009 broncomania Wrote:"big country" is "bad ass" Thanks Mike! We didn't work on it this weekend at all. Both of our wives had other plans for us, but I did sneek in an order to Summit mokin: Hopefully we can wrap up the wiring in another day and then we'll have some other small loose ends like re-routing fuel lines, brake lines, PS plumbing, Trans cooler & lines, etc. Then exhaust and gears/lockers are the last. I'd like to do my own exhuast but the mandrel bent pieces from Summit are sky high. I might just take it to the exhaust shop and let them do it, but room for a muffler is hard to find with the 4 link bars and brackets. Since I missed Fawl Crawl and URE maybe it's debut will be at the Charlotte M&G next March cratchhe: Project "Big Country" - Front Bumper Fab - blazinchuck - 11-23-2009 WHAT? man, finish that junk, we wanna wheel before March!!!! lol Project "Big Country" - Front Bumper Fab - SC74 - 11-23-2009 blazinchuck Wrote:WHAT? man, finish that junk, we wanna wheel before March!!!! lol I do too!!! Trust me!!! I just don't know how well buying gears and lockers is going to go over right now - trying to sell the farm and buy a house. |
