I think I decided on a set of tires. - chuzie - 06-23-2011

Okay, I finally bought the tires!!!

Decided to go with the 35x12.50R15 Pit Bull Rocker Radials.

I was going to do the 37" and 4.88 gears but I really need something more practical for road and rock and the 35" and 4.56 combo will work well. I ordered them today and can't wait to get home to get them on the Bronco. They cost about $1,460 which was higher than I was quoted back in February but that's life I guess. You snooze - you lose!

cha ching. that is a lot of coin. i think the 35's will be ideal for your mix of usage. good stuff.

Got 4. Couldn't afford 5! I think I will keep two of my old tires for trail spares. I also think 35 was better since I already have a high CG and a very soft suspension.

Nice, Chuzie! That's a good choice to keep it a little more street friendly, and still maintain it's trail prowlness.

I've heard good things about those Pit Bulls... good choice! Shoot some pics up when you get them on.

I am going to replace all the hardware on my beadlocks with new 3/8-16x2" bolts, washers, and nuts. Just seems pricey at $100 @ Fastenal for a set of 150. Any suggestions on where to get bulk hardware on the cheap? I am not looking for grade 8 here as I know this stuff is going to break so I plan on replacing a few here and there.

I do all my big orders with boltdepot.com

Used to do it all locally with a company but they have since moved unfortunately. While I don't think grade 8 is necessary per se, it isn't much more $$, and the plating is much better. Looks like they are about 1/2 the cost for what you want.
