Another Bronco Floor Replacement - broncosbybart - 04-11-2014 Got some measurements. On our 73, the dimensions are 39-1/2" on the DS and 39-3/8" on the PS. The 39-1/2" side has a bigger gap than the pass side. I'd shoot for 39-3/8". The dimension from the face of the door post (flat part above the upper hinge area) to the face of the striker (where your data sticker is) is 37-5/16" on both sides. Edit: it looks a lot easier when someone else is doing the work Keep it up! Another Bronco Floor Replacement - jdowns67 - 04-12-2014 Thanks Bart! I got it down to 1/8" of an inch difference side to side. Best I could get it. Floor and inner rocker is all the way welded in now. Getting ready to finish welding the kick panel, door post and outer rocker. Then I get to go to the other side!!!!! Another Bronco Floor Replacement - jdowns67 - 04-19-2014 Everything welded in on the drivers side. Turned out nice. New e-brake cable and Jeff's clutch rod grommet installed. Another Bronco Floor Replacement - jdowns67 - 06-07-2014 Moving to passenger side Another Bronco Floor Replacement - jdowns67 - 06-07-2014 Today's progress Another Bronco Floor Replacement - jdowns67 - 06-24-2014 Picture just before welding passenger side in. It's pretty much welded in now. Set my vent box on fire with welding sparks. Note to self: Get a Co2 Fire extinguisher. Dry chemical equals big ass mess. Extra drain hole now in bottom of vent box. Another Bronco Floor Replacement - wepuckett - 06-24-2014 What are you putting on all the panels before you put them in? Also if your not using new panels but donor panels should you get them media blasted first or can I just clean up the edges replace the rusted metal then get the whole body media blasted? Thanks Another Bronco Floor Replacement - jdowns67 - 06-24-2014 wepuckett Wrote:What are you putting on all the panels before you put them in? Thanks I clean them with prep-all then sand them a little, clean them again, then paint them with self etching primer. They are new panels but if I were using donor panels, I would probably have them blasted before just because. Can't imagine donor panels would work that well unless you are just patching a smaller area. Another Bronco Floor Replacement - wepuckett - 06-24-2014 I was thinking of cleaning up the edges to bare metal then welding in then having the entire body media blasted and por it after that or is that the wrong order to do things in? Sorry for asking in the middle of your thread. Another Bronco Floor Replacement - chuzie - 06-24-2014 Looks great. Did ur new panels line up or did they take a lot of tweaking?
