Need Advice on 351W Headers - 73Bronc - 09-21-2009

I'm looking to purchase some headers for my EB. I have a 351W with manual tranny, so space is limited. Post up if you have a recommendation on headers that work well for this setup. Thanks in advance :xyxthumbs:

I run Hedman's on my 351W. They could use a bit of tweaking to get the collect on the pass side off the frame rail and the tubes get a bit close to the inner fenders. If it is in your budget get the Jet-Hot coating. I got the Elite coating and it did not last a year.

Thanks for the advice. I called Jet-Hot this morning. They have Hedman's that are 1.5 to a 2.5 collector for $352. The Hedman part number is 89410. Does this match your setup?

If your real worried about space look into hooker headers. They are a fenderwell exiting header. I'm currently runing them on my 289. But will keep them when I swap in my 351 that's currently sitting in the shop. Also there was a guy on classic that was selling some real nice dyno tuned fenderwell header for a realy nice price. If I remeber right you could them coated and with duel flowmaster for like 400 something. I can find it if your intrested.

As for coatings check out calico coatings. They are local and have some awsome finishes for headers. They did a bunch of headers in this flat black finish for us at the race shop. And it holds up great no peel at all.

That is them. Just for comparison Summit list the Jet-Hot coated at $479.95. That is a great deal for $350. I believe I gave $300 for the Elite's.

Dang I just got a quote on a set of standard hedmans with sterling finish, and they said it would be 379.83, what finish are you looking at getting 73bronc .The elite's were 501.88 I can't swing that, but they do look nicer with the ball and socket, Also would the hedders interfere with a deep trans pan? sorry for the highjack

Supposedly BC's will fit with a 351/manual combo. They have a fitment table if you scroll down. I think they're shortys, dunno if that matters. http://www.bcbroncos.com/exhaust08.html
