Will the front axle out of a Scout II fit/work in a EB. what is the width of the EB dana 30. And does anyone know the width of the dana in the Scout II.

Thanks for any help...

hey, im sure the scouts are leaf sprung so its not a easy swap. your better off scoring a D44 from a 71-77 EB. not sure on the width

If I remember correctly, the width of the EB is 58" or so. I also think the Scout II's are 58". But as Chuck said, I do not think the leaf to radius arm conversion would be as economical as finding an EB D44.

I have an EB axle if you are looking.

Arnt scout passenger drop too?

I was wanting to do the Disc brake swap from a chevy and I didnt think it would work on the Dana 30. I would like a Dana 44. I forgot about the scout having leaf spings. Im a long way from putting this together, Im just collecting Parts right now. when I do put it together I want to do it right the first time. Its just going to be A driver and minor offroader and possibly some beginner rock climbing.

A disc swap from a chebby should be fine on the 30. The 44 is a lot stronger though.
