Body lift issues - dixieboyz13 - 09-14-2011

Well, I ran into some issues with my body lift before I could even get started. The PO had fabricated some new floor pans and riveted them into place. Needless to say, they cover the body mount bolt. The old pans are still underneath, and have a good bit of rust through. Looks like this will have to go on the back burner until I can get new floor pans and intall them properly so that the block doesnt push through the floor. Anybody got any other ideas...

hmmmm. Use a hole-saw bit to cut through the "new" floorpans around the bolts?

The floor support braces are solid as can be. I might try drilling out the rivets in order to get the bolts out and then putting them back in place. I'm sure I can find a way to get it done, just dont want it to look like crap when finished.

if ya dont want it to look like crap...remove the rivets and floor, then get the bolt out,do the body lift...then cut whats left of the original floor and fit the removable floor in place to welded in right and make a new hole for the body bolt
