C4 question - bucketobolts - 05-18-2008 The car version C4 are usually a case fill design. The bell housing bolts directly to the pump. They tend to have smaller intermediate servos and rarely have hardened inputs. It can be used, but not my choice for strength. Otherwise to make 2wd version fit a EB you will need an output shaft and an extension housing. C4 question - Timstrk - 05-18-2008 Weren't the car C4 transmissions longer than the Bronco? The Bronco C4 was Bronco only. You have to have the short main shaft to convert a Mustang C4. Right? The 2wd has a long slender extension housing that accept the slip yoke driveshaft. Early BII's had a C5 4wd. C5 is an updated C4 that has an inertia lock up converter.
